PROJECT RECEIVES MILLION WORK HOUR SAFETY AWARD
The IAP Fort Irwin project was recently honored with a certificate from the National Safety Council
for operating for over one million employee hours without incurring an “occupational injury or illness
involving days away from work” (a “lost time” incident). The award was made for the time period May
2009 through the beginning of February this year, although the project has continued to operate without
a lost time incident since then.

Star Employee of the Month
On Friday, June 18th, Jennifer Cardinalli, who works in the Post Library administered by the
MWR Division, was presented with the Star Employee of the Month Award at a ceremony at the library. Consisting of a star trophy, a framed certificate, a distinctive star pin, $100 cash, and a selection of special IAP promotional material, the award was presented by General Manager Jeff Williamson. Cake and refreshments were served following
the ceremony.
Jennifer was recognized for her expertise and dedication, as detailed in her Fast $50 Award nomination:
“Jennifer Cardinalli is always bright, cheerful, and helpful to customers. When the Post Library Administrator resigned recently, Jennifer stepped up of her own initiative to ensure that the Administrator
tasks were executed accurately in a timely fashion. In addition, she has reorganized the staff room,
assisted with ongoing programs to an extra degree, and by virtue of the respect she has earned from all
the staff, has taken an effective leadership position. The Post Library is a better unit and provides better
customer service because of her.”
The Star Employee of the Month Award is presented
to one employee every month. All employees
approved for a Fast $50 Award from the 11th of one
month to the 10th of the following month are candidates
for the award. Project Management makes the
final selection of the winner.
