IAP Recognized as Military Friendly Employer
11/15/2011
Cape Canaveral, FL – G.I. Jobs magazine has named IAP Worldwide Services to
its “Top 100 Military Friendly Employers” list for the third consecutive year, in
recognition of the company’s long-term commitment to recruiting and hiring
former military as well as its retention efforts for Reserve/Guard members
called to active duty.
Evaluated among approximately 5,000 companies with a minimum of $500 million in
annual revenues, IAP ranked 39th on the list. Criteria for eligibility included
the robustness of a company’s military recruiting efforts, the percentage of
new veteran hires, retention policies for Reserve/Guard members called to
active duty as well as involvement and outreach in the military community.
“Because of their rigorous training and experience in real-world missions,
veterans are valuable assets to our company,” said IAP President Bob Phillips.
“They know the value of leadership and teamwork. They understand how to perform
under pressure, and they recognize that workplace safety can never be
compromised. This is an accomplishment that we take seriously and strive to
continue.”
Last month, IAP was named to Military Spouse magazine’s “Top 20
List of Military Spouse Friendly Employers for 2012.” This distinction honors companies
that actively hire military spouses and work to keep them on board through the
challenges of deployments and military-mandated relocations.
