Who We Are
|

Small Business Supplier Diversity
|
As the Global Marketplace continues to evolve, new technological advances level the playing
field between small businesses and large corporations. IAP Worldwide Services, Inc. recognizes and salutes the tremendous
benefits offered through strategic partnerships with small businesses.
IAP actively seeks partnerships with small companies demonstrating the ability to innovatively manage
people, work, costs and quality in a safe environment. Each business segment maintains a resource network of small business
partners. We encourage you to identify the business segment aligned with the services provided by your company
and contact us today.
Mission Statement
IAP endeavors to support small business concerns of all types through opportunities provided on governmental and commercial
contracts, supplier development initiatives and additional work incentives for companies performing well. The end result is...capacity
building with strategic partners in the small business arena.
Objective
In meeting the competitive demands of today's customer requirements, IAP takes pride in being a responsible corporate
citizen of the global marketplace. We embrace our customers' socioeconomic objectives and make every effort to support
small business concerns and local foreign vendors on our projects. As a conscientious citizen of the International community,
IAP is devoted to making a positive impact on the communities where we live and serve around the globe.
Policy
It is IAP's policy to utilize products and services procured from small business concerns and local foreign vendors whenever
possible. Our policy not only supports the socioeconomic goals of our customers; but, it recognizes and commends the strengths
offered by the "new small business" emerging in today's market. As teammates, their ability to offer innovative solutions, niche
services and competitive pricing ensures customer satisfaction. Understanding both corporate and government management principles,
the "new small business," helps bring the best of both worlds to our valued customers.

Creating A Culture That Embraces Small Business Utilization
|
|
IAP's Small Business Council was created to heighten organizational awareness of the importance of small business
relationships, educate internal stake-holders on program components and monitor the organization's compliance with
small business requirements. Members of the council meet monthly to discuss pertinent small business issues and concerns.
Each year, the Small Business Council recognizes small business partners through the "Wings of Eagles Award" given to small
companies demonstrating stellar performance. Each quarter, the Council recognizes projects that have met their small business
goals or who have gone above and beyond the norm to develop an innovative opportunity to increase small business participation.

Small Business Supplier Diversity Enhancement Programs
|
|
IAP takes a great deal of pride in supporting our small business partners and ensuring their success. We realize that it
takes an investment of time and resources to build long term relationships and strategic business alliances. Therefore,
we have developed internal programs to help ensure the success of IAP's small business partners.
Small Business Enablement Program
As a global contingency contractor, IAP understands the difficulties experienced by small businesses performing in foreign
environments that are often austere and/or hostile. Therefore, we constantly seek small businesses with OCONUS experience
to help support our International contracts. To further alleviate some of the potential difficulties that may be experienced
by U.S. based small companies participating on these projects, IAP has developed a Small Business Enablement Program. Through
this program, small business partners have access to IAP's internal deployment services which include training for employees
deployed to OCONUS locations, shipping and customs services, insurance coverage, and travel agreements which have been negotiated
with strategic partners. Small companies that are new to international opportunities have access to networking and peer tutoring
sessions with more seasoned small business partners having several years of experience performing work in foreign countries or
hostile and austere environments.
Small Business Supplier Development Program
IAP provides informal mentoring to our small business partners through the company's Small Business Supplier Development Program.
This program is limited to small businesses actively performing as a subcontractor to IAP on a customer project. Informal
mentoring is normally targeted towards a specific area of improvement identified during the Supplier Evaluation process. The
initiative is designed to assist small businesses with their efforts to improve performance based on contract requirements
or deliverables.
|
Business Performance, Ethics and Conduct Expectations
|
IAP has an ethical responsibility to adhere to high standards of performance and conduct. That responsibility is extended
to our small business suppliers.
To ensure the highest standard of quality for our customers, suppliers are evaluated on organizational structure, past
performance, financial stability and management capabilities. After contract award, supplier performance is
actively monitored.

Strategic Alliances
|
|
IAP shares its commitment to small business utilization with other corporate
peers by helping to form strategic alliances between small business concerns
and large partners providing similar services. Emphasis is placed on specific core competencies and
shared information through mentoring. As a direct result of the partnering efforts, small businesses gain access
to markets and industries previously unapproachable. It's a win-win for all parties involved. We've enjoyed success
with program initiatives in the waste management, refuse collection, and food services arenas.

Mentor Protégé Relationships
|
IAP offers informal and formal mentoring through our Mentor Protégé Program. Formal mentoring relationships
are established with the Small Business Administration (SBA) or other Federal Agencies with active Mentor
Protégé programs. Mentoring is offered in a variety of areas to include Operations, Business Management Processes,
Quality, Safety, Business Development, Proposal Development, Contract Administration, Customer Relationship
Management, Organizational Development, Budgeting, Compliance and IT Systems and Infrastructure. Due to the extensive
resources required to ensure the success of Mentor Protégé Relationships, IAP requires the following prior to entering
into a formal Mentor Protégé relationship:
- An existing relationship with IAP Worldwide Services performing as a subcontractor or prime
- A minimum of two years in business
- An established portfolio of products and services
- Excellent client references
- Open disclosure during the Initial Review Process and throughout the various stages
of the Mentor Protégé relationship

|
8(a) and Small Disadvantaged Business Concerns
|
In support of the SBA's regulations and policies established to advance socially disadvantaged business owners,
IAP continuously seeks relationships with 8(a), Alaskan Native Corporation (ANC) and Tribally Owned small business
entities having diverse business portfolios. Depending on the type of opportunity pursued, IAP traditionally uses one of
the vehicles listed below to structure successful business arrangements with small business partners.
- Prime / Subcontractor
- Joint Ventures
- Teaming Agreements
- Memorandums of Understanding
- Mentor Protégé Relationships
- Strategic Alliances
|
|
VOSB and SDVOSB Companies
|
|
IAP has dedicated resources to developing relationships with Veteran-Owned and Service Disabled Veteran-Owned
Small Business Concerns (VOSB and SDVOSB). Approximately 15% of the nation's 25 million veterans and national reservists
are self-employed. As a leading contractor in Facilities Management Support Services and Global Contingency
Operations, experience clearly demonstrates working with VOSB and SDVOSB companies on DOD opportunities and other
contracts with OCONUS performance requirements creates a strong value proposition for the customer. IAP actively
seeks VOSB and SDVOSB concerns with whom we can partner and build long-term relationships.

|
