IAP Powers Critical Infrastructure in Wake of Superstorm Sandy
When Hurricane Sandy was set to make landfall in the most densely populated region of the U.S., teams at IAP Worldwide Services had already been in advanced staging mode and ready to provide emergency power services to critical infrastructure throughout the Mid-Atlantic. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers called for support on October 26, 2012, and IAP Operations and Support Manager John Matasich ensured that the IAP spot mobile power generation team was deployed and onsite within 24 hours with the required diesel fuel and equipment to support the mission.   Read more
 
IAP Delivers Over 9 Million Liters of Life-Saving Water to Hurricane Sandy Victims
On the evening of October 30, 2012, a day after Hurricane Sandy slammed into the New Jersey coast, the U.S. Corps of Engineers called Greg Brown, Global Emergency Services Project Manager for IAP. The topic of the phone call: emergency water delivery for the millions of victims who lost power and access to safe drinking water.   Read more

IAP Teams Secure Naval Station Guantanamo Bay in Path of Hurricane Sandy
As Hurricane Sandy roared into Cuba with Category 2 winds in excess of 100 mph, IAP teams at Naval Station Guantanamo Bay (GTMO) had already implemented their destructive weather plans and prepared all emergency generators for a night of potentially devastating storm damage. Maintaining uninterrupted electrical power is high priority at this remote project — home for many detainees captured during the war on terrorism — as it is essential to preserve security and keep the population safe.   Read more
 
Our Commitment to Wounded Warriors
IAP created a healing environment for wounded warriors at the historic Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC) in our nation's capital even as the revered institution was set for closure. Team members provided patients with reliable heating, cooling, hot water, on-time transportation, well-stocked hospital wards and a park-like setting.   Read more

On the Waterfront: Regional Base Operations Support Contract
Naval Station Mayport along North Florida’s Atlantic coastline is homeport for almost two dozen ships, representing the U.S. Navy’s third largest fleet concentration in the nation. The site is home to waterfront “hotel services” and mobile crane operations as our employees support aircraft carriers, cruisers, and frigates, plus Coast Guard vessels and ships of allied forces.  Read more

The warfare environment has changed — and America’s premiere Army training range has changed along with it. Soldiers now must fight in urban settings, where the enemy often hides among innocent civilians. Read more
 
An Environmental Partner
Non-native invasive weeds had taken over valuable native habitats used by the Western burrowing owl next to an active Federal airfield. Protecting the owls while controlling the brush was the challenge facing IAP’s NASA Ames project when someone came up with the unique idea to employ goats. Read more
