Our Commitment to Veterans
At IAP, we take great pride in our ability to come up with unique solutions to challenging scenarios. This is why we actively seek out people with military experience to join our team. Approximately 30% of IAP’s workforce are veterans. Service in the armed forces offers constant opportunities to develop quick thinking, leadership skills, and a strong commitment to teammates and the mission. Careers at IAP offer veterans the perfect medium to apply their skills and technical abilities. As our customers include all branches of the armed forces, it’s a great way for veterans to transition to civilian life while continuing to serve their mission. It is why we made U.S. Veterans Magazine’s list of Top Veteran-Friendly Companies in 2014.
Our Commitment to the Environment
Many of the jobs we do involve altering the world around us to help others. It is an incredible power we share with our customers. But along with it comes the responsibility to use that power wisely. That is why we put a great deal of emphasis on creating LEED-certified buildings, examining the potential impact of projects before we begin, and making the most efficient use of natural resources.
Our Commitment to the Community
We owe a lot to the many communities around the world we call home, so we show our gratitude by giving back in a number of ways. For example, our partnership with the United Way of Brevard has given us a wealth of opportunities to do good. We helped them raise $45,000 as part of their annual campaign, donated 4,500 canned goods, and volunteered to read to 3rd grade classes in an effort to improve literacy. With the community around MacDill AFB, we have worked with local volunteers to restore severely eroded shoreline, creating marine-friendly oyster reefs and planting new marsh grass.
