IAP Hosts Canadian Trade Mission Meeting
Cape Canaveral, FL. — IAP recently hosted a Canadian Trade Mission group at its Eagles Landing temporary housing community in Sidney, Montana. The international meeting was organized by the Montana World Trade Centre and the World Trade Centre Winnipeg to provide companies with an intensive introduction to doing business in the Bakken, the vast oil-producing region spanning Montana, North Dakota, Saskatchewan, and southwest Manitoba.
Local, state, and national companies had the opportunity for one-on-one meetings with businesses from the World Trade Centre Winnipeg as they gathered at the Eagles Landing facilities. They also were treated to a tour of the site, including IAP’s one- and two-bedroom model units that have been set up for display.
Addressing the group at the meeting, Dave Jackson, Vice President, IAP Global Services, said, “Eagles Landing is a planned housing community constructed to provide minimal impact on the surrounding resources and services,” he explained. “It features totally contained water/sewer systems, electrical distribution, and optical fiber communications.”
The Eagles Landing development currently has 220 beds ready with about 80 to 100 tenants. Once completed, the community will consist of 731 beds. IAP’s focus is to provide comforts for employees working in the oil and gas fields with such amenities as chef-prepared meals, laundry facilities, housekeeping, a fitness center, and outdoor recreational areas. The units also can accommodate family members.
“The project has been a welcome and much-needed addition to the community, providing a safe, comfortable alternative to other temporary housing options in the region,” said Barbara Jerich, Vice President, Human Resources. “Eagles Landing is a controlled approach to the area’s ever-expanding need for more people and the consistent lack of quality housing, utilities, and restaurants.”
